House - Notting Hill

Extensive internal alterations, and extension to a large five storey home in Notting Hill.

The location of the main staircase is repositioned from the rear into the centre of the house, allowing open plan living spaces to wrap around and maximise views into the rear garden.

The property is extended at the the back providing space for a new lift serving four floors. The existing windows in the rear elevation are reorganised to create a more unified appearance.

Accommodation is arranged over five floors with living spaces and reception rooms finished in dark stained oak chevron flooring while lighter, natural oak is used throughout the interior of the upper floors containing the  bedrooms and study.

Existing period features were refurbished and replaced where required to create a bright and contemporary interior containing the traditional features expected within a property of its age. 

A carefully staged program was produced to meet the client’s needs, allowing continued use of the property throughout the building work.
